When is open enrollment?

Our open enrollment is held annually during the month of December. Any changes made during open enrollment will be effective January 1st

When is our plan year?

January 1st through December 31st

When am I eligible to enroll?

During your new hire period. Benefits are effective the first of the month following your hire date

I am getting married soon. Can I add my new spouse/domestic partner and/or stepchild(ren) to my coverage, or do I have to wait until there is an open enrollment period?

Yes, your new spouse/domestic partner and/or your stepchild(ren) are eligible. You have 30 days from the date of your marriage to add them to your plan(s).

Can I have other health coverage?

Yes, having multiple health plans can expand your healthcare options and minimize costs. However, the premium and administrative costs can be prohibitive, and two plans might only end up providing redundant coverage.

What happens if I do not enroll/miss open enrollment?

Your only other option is a qualifying life event. Needs to be within 30 days of your actual event.

How do I enroll in benefits?

Your benefits enrollment will be sent to you as a task in RED for processing.

Am I required to enroll in benefits?

No, health insurance is not mandatory at the federal level in the United States. However, some states require residents to have health insurance and may impose a tax penalty for those who don’t.

How and when can I make changes to my employee benefit selections?

If you do not have a qualifying life event, then your next opportunity to make changes will be during open enrollment.

What happens to my coverage if I leave the company?

You will have coverage until the last day of the month in which you worked.

How can I access my ID card(s)?

I am expecting/adopting a child soon. Can I add the child to my coverage?

Yes, your newborn can be added to your plan effective date of birth. Once your adoption process has been finalized. You have the option of adding your child to your benefit plan
Can my dependent parents be covered by my medical plan?
